Heat Pump Commercial

Uses heat from the air to heat water and saves energy as much as 60-80%, when compared to oil fired boilers or electric water heaters. It is ideal for commercial applications like in hotels, hospitals, spas, hostels etc. where hot water is needed in large volumes. This range saves on operating costs by tapping into the heat in the air in a safe and affordable way. You can satisfy your customers while saving on your energy bills.

APPLICATIONS

hp-applications-hotelsimages

Heat pump water heaters are highly energy efficient as most of the energy for heating comes from the external environment, and only a fraction comes from electricity. Thus for 1kW electricity consumed the heat transferred will be 4kW. The amount of electrical energy needed to heat water is greatly reduced compared to a conventional electric water heater in which, for 1kW electricity consumed the heat transferred is only 1kW. Thus in heat pump water heaters the coefficient of performance (ratio of output power to input power) can be as high as 4.

HOW DOES A HEAT PUMP WORK

arrow1 Absorption of Heat from Surrounding Air: The Venus heat pump utilizes the principle of absorbing heat from the ambient air surrounding it. Even in cold weather, there is heat energy present in the air which the heat pump extracts.

arrow1 Refrigerant Circulation: The heat pump contains a refrigerant that has a low boiling point. When the refrigerant is in contact with the warm air, it absorbs heat and turns into a gas.

arrow1 Compression of Refrigerant: The gas refrigerant is then compressed using a compressor. As the gas is compressed, its temperature rises significantly.

arrow1 Heat Exchange: The now hot compressed gas passes through a condenser where it releases its heat to the water in the system. This heat transfer warms up the water, which is then ready for use.

arrow1 Expansion Valve:After releasing its heat, the refrigerant is passed through an expansion valve. This valve reduces the pressure of the refrigerant, causing it to cool down and revert to its liquid state.

arrow1 Evaporation:The cooled liquid refrigerant then passes through an evaporator where it absorbs heat from the surrounding air, starting the cycle anew.

arrow1 Continuous Cycle:This process continues in a cycle as long as the heat pump is operational, continuously extracting heat from the air and transferring it to the water.

arrow1 Efficiency Enhancement:Venus heat pumps are designed to enhance efficiency through various means such as advanced compressor technology, optimized heat exchangers, and intelligent controls. This ensures maximum heat extraction from the air with minimal energy consumption.

arrow1 Backup Heating:In colder climates or during periods of high demand, Venus heat pumps may also have backup heating elements to ensure consistent hot water availability.
