Porcelain Enamel Technology

Porcelain Enameling - by Powder Enamel is the latest technology from Europe and brought to india for the first time by venus. Porcelain Enamel is a glass - like coating which is fused at 830 degree C to create a mechanical bond with the metal substrate. This makes the vitreous enamel layer robust and insert, protecting and underlying steel from rust and corrosion. The glass lined tank then can work form many years without problems irrespective of the quality of water. Porcelain enamel tanks are widely used internationally and are approved for use in water heaters by BIS, IEC, DIN(German), UL(US) standards. In india, VENUS is the first manufacturer to start enameling with Dry Powder Enamelling system which is superior to other types of coatings.

water-technology

VENUS Water heaters incorporate a rugged, high - performance Porcelain Enamel Glass Lined Tank that is the best for corrosion resisitance and trouble free performance. VENUS has invested in a modern world class manufacturing facility to produce these glass lined tanks using Dry Powder Enamel Technology from Italy, Europe.

Enamel Process HI-Tech Plant

Porcelain Enamel Glass lined tanks are produced in a world-class fully automated plant in VENUS using the best raw materials and the highest quality assurance practices.

1.FORMING :

Deep drawing of 1.8-2mm steel blanks to form lids in a heavy duty Hydraulic Press.

FORMING
2.WELDING :

Welding of lids and shells in an automatic, Plasma / MIG Welding Line. All welded tanks are tested immediately at 3 bar pressure; 100% Leakage free.

WELDING
3.PRE-TREATMENT :

Inner surface of the tank is blasted at high pressure in the shot blasting machine to remove any surface impurities and oxides.

TREATMENT
4.ENAMEL APPLICATION :

Dry Power Enamel is sprayed on the tanks by 2 robots. Automative controls maintain a Homogenous coating thickness of 250 across the surface of the tank.

APPLICATION
5.FIRING :

Enamel coated tanks are fired inside the high temperature furance at 830°C - 850°C. The enamel melts to fuse and bond with the steel to form a protective glass lining.
